Ps4 review – Ratchet & Clank

Ratchet & Clank review for the Playstation 4!

Time has never flown as fast as it did while playing Ratchet & Clank. As I blinked I found myself fighting a boss I couldn’t beat in one try. I thought to myself, am I at the end of the game? It feels like I’m playing for 10 minutes?! And no it’s not because the game is so short, it is because it’s so much fun! It’s a remake of the first part so if you never played Ratchet and Clank before this is your change to step in! Read more about the game in this blog!

Ratchet & Clank is platform game and also a Playstation exclusive. This is one of the exclusives that makes it worthwhile for me to have a playstation. The main character is Ratchet and all he wants is to be a hero. He finds Clank and they decide to team up and fulfill missions together.

I played the game at medium and I admit that it was a little bit easy sometimes. The game has many aspects and some are more difficult than the other. You begin with fighting and getting your first weapon. Along the way you can buy more weapons and also upgrade them. You can buy new weapons with bolts you collect on your adventures. (By destroying some surroundings)

Then there are also many obstacles on your way. You learn to jump and climb and even fly because Clank has a helicopter in head. They set a lot of different parcours out for you, even on a moving train!

As you get further in the game you get new stuff which gives you the opportunity to go back to the planets and explore parts you couldn’t get to in the beginning. This makes it al lot of fun to go back because you checked all of the territories and already searched a way in. So you know where everything is!

I have played more Ratchet and Clank games (part 2 & 3) and this remake of the first part is really something. Everything feels so natural and well polished. You recognize most of your weapons and planets and are amazed by how beautiful it looks.

In conclusion I rank Ratchet and Clank with a 9 because of the beauty of the graphics, the smoothness of the game play and because it has funny story in it!
